What You Will Measure
Measure the five things that decide whether you're chosen or compared
This assessment helps you measure where you stand today across all five dimensions, then shows you exactly where to focus next.
You are scored once across every P.
Most founders star with one weak P and fix it first.
P1 - Position - The Foundation
See whether your positioning makes buyers choose you, instead of comparing you on price.
P2 - Proof - Controlling Comparison
Find out if you have strong enough proof points to make your value easy to trust and hard to dismiss.
P3 - Profit - Commercial Clarity
Learn whether your marketing spend is building genuine commercial advantage or just generating activity.
P4 - Programme - Execution
Discover if your offers, delivery, and messaging give buyers one consistent experience of your value.
P5 - Perception - Market Framing
See whether your business looks distinctive to buyers, or like a familiar version of what everyone else already does.
The Proof
Who built it.
The method came out of a farm and a business, not a whiteboard.
Anna Elliot's family business started by converting its farm from commercial to organic and regenerative. A real, hands-on operational shift, long before 'sustainable and regenerative' were a marketing words. Working the land teaches you something most business owners never learn: you only really understand the parts of a business you've done yourself. Hand the uncomfortable parts to someone else and the business stops feeling like yours.
That lesson carried straight into the business. Anna spent six years as Marketing Director and three as Sales & Marketing Director, growing the business 400% year-on-year, staying close to positioning and pricing rather than handing it off to an agency.
Five years in, that growth stalled. The team was working harder than ever. The product hadn't changed, it was still genuinely better. But something had.
The moment it became clear: standing at a demo table in Whole Foods Market, watching a customer pick up her product, put it back down, and choose a lesser competitor sitting right beside it. Same price. Worse quality. The market simply couldn't tell them apart.
That's when she stopped treating it as a marketing problem and started treating it as a positioning one. The shift is what won the product listings Waitrose and a concession a Selfridges - not a bigger budget, not better ads, a different position, decided by someone who'd stayed close enough to the business to actually see it.
In 2023, after watching the same pattern repeat across other businesses, she built that experience into Strategic Positioning Architecture.
Why Positioning Decides Growth
"The single most important decision in evaluating a business is pricing power. If you've got the power to raise prices without losing business to a competitor, you've got a very good business. And if you have to have a prayer session before raising the price by 10 percent, then you've got a terrible business." - Warren Buffett
5 - Growth dimensions the assessment scores
15 - Focused questions, no filler 3 min - To a clear picture of where growth is stuck
Pricing power comes from being positioned as the obvious choice, not the cheapest one. This assessment shows you exactly where that power is strong and where it's slipping.
On taking the scorecard
Three people who took it

I took this assessment expecting it to confirm we were doing fine. It didn't. It named exactly where we were being compared instead of chosen and gave us a clear place to start.

Fifteen questions took less time than one internal meeting and told us more. It was uncomfortable to see how much of our growth was still riding on one person's reputation instead of the institute's own positioning

Director, Upledger Institute UK

Having sat on both sides, building a national ecommerce businesses and retail shop positioning and now running a hospitality business, this assessment asks the questions I wish I'd been forced to answer years earlier.
